Craps Dealer Pleads Guilty in Cheating Scam
Johnnie Baker is a former Mohegan Sun craps dealer who recently plead guilty to fourth degree larceny for his role in a cheating scam at the casino. Baker has earned a suspended prison sentence for giving a player earnings for illegal bets.

Baker plead guilty in New London Superior Court and received one year in prison which was fully suspended and one year of probation. Baker stated he had taken $800 as a tip from Richard S. Taylor, who was also recently convicted, in exchange for paying Taylor $11,500 for late bets. Taylor placed the late bets in 2008.

Ten Foxwoods Resort employees lost their jobs due to the cheating scam but Baker is the only former employee of the Mohegan Sun. Taylor was convicted of running the scheme where he or other players were paid large sums of money for late or illegal bets. Taylor then sent someone to meet the casino employees to pay their for their service or he paid them himself.
