Wife of Former Craps Record Holder Speaks On Husbands Broken Record
Twenty years is a long time to hold a record of any kind and Stanley Fujitake was the proud owner of a twenty year record for the longest craps roll ever. That is until just a short time ago when Patricia Demauro of New Jersey broke the long standing record. Stanley is no longer with us but his wife Satsuko of Hawaii has commented on the record breaking. She was surprised to hear that someone had broken the long standing record especially when she heard the person was a woman.
Satsuko stated jokingly: “I think all the men should be ashamed of themselves. I think she really deserves a lot of credit…She must have really been lucky.” Her husband created the record when he played craps for three hours and six minutes and had one hundred and eighteen rolls in Las Vegas while visiting the California Hotel and Casino in 1989.
We brought you the news last week when Demauro broke the record with four hours and eighteen minutes of a craps roll which resulted in one hundred and fifty four rolls of the dice. Demauro bought into the game for $100 while Stanley paid only $50 but did not win a good deal of money. He was known to casino players as the “Man with the Golden Arm” and played craps quite often. It will be interesting to see how long Demauro’s record will last and who the lucky player to break it will be.
